Our fellow batchmate of the 2006 group, Dilum is planning to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 2025. In preparation for that, he is planning to go on an expedition to island peak on the Himalayan Mountain range in October 2022, to gain the much-needed experience.
You can support Dilum by contributing to the fund to cover the expenses of the expedition.
For the first time, the 2006 Group got the opportunity to join the elite group of socially responsible Anandians. Our efforts became meaningful by being able to support a facility dedicated to the country’s future generation, The Lady Ridgeway Hospital!
We were able to donate much needed medical instruments to the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) to combat the Covid pandemic. Our special thanks go to Dr. Nalin C. Kithulwaththa, a fellow old Anandian and the consultant who is heading the MICU.
We started the fund-raising campaign on the 26th of August 2021. For our greatest pleasure, thanks to the generous contribution of 154 members, we raised Rs. 793,710.66 in just seven days through which we were able to donate the following equipment worth Rs. 802,000.00 on the 16th of September 2021.

2006 batch extended its support by way of donating Rs. 55,000/- to the Old Boys Association in organizing ''Uthurata Naagam'' friendly encounter between Ananda College and Hindu College, Jaffna.
Four members from the 2006 group had participated in the vehicle parade.
The 2006 Group Committee recently sponsored renovation costs of the Ananda College Primary Section Audio Visual Unit.
The Group donated Rs 200,000/- for the renovations.
The funds were raised through the 2016 Annual Batch Party and the Committee would like to thank all our Members who took part in the Party and our sponsors.
