At the 40th Sri Lanka National Rowing Championships, held at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre, the team delivered an outstanding performance, finishing as overall runners-up with an impressive haul of 12 gold and 4 bronze medals.
They claimed gold in events including the Under-19 coxed four, as well as the Under-16 quad scull and pair categories. Bronze medals were earned in the Under-19, Under-16, and Under-15 scull events — a testament to their talent and dedication across all age groups.
We are delighted to announce that the Ananda College Batch of 2006 has sponsored the travel kits and training kits for the Under-14 Junior Rugby Team for the upcoming season!
Ananda College Rugby has seen a significant uplift following their exceptional performance last season. As the Ananda College Batch of 2006, we are immensely proud to be part of this journey, supporting Ananda Rugby every step of the way.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Lal Dissanayaka, Principal of Ananda College, the Ananda College Rugby Wing, and especially the members of our batch, for their continued support in our endeavour to uplift sports at Ananda College.
At the principal's request, we generously donated materials worth over 02 Million LKR for the Grade 06 classes tiling project.
The renovation was successfully completed with the dedicated support of our batch-mates !
